Karee River Camp

The Karee River Camping Site is a spacious campsite located within 40 metres of the Groot Marico River. With no electricity at the campsite, the area offers minimal light pollution and excellent conditions for stargazing and enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings.

An electrical point is available 200 metres away for charging appliances, along with a fridge/freezer for campers who are not fully self-sufficient. Hot water is provided through gas geysers.

Campers are required to bring their own camping equipment, lighting, crockery, cutlery, bedding, and other essentials. The campsite welcomes large campervans and provides a convenient dump point.

Access is via a 7 km farm dirt road suitable for most vehicles, although vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended. A maximum of 20 campers is permitted, and quiet hours are observed between 22:00 and 10:00.
