Kayova River Lodge
Overview
Kayova River Lodge is beautifully situated on the hills overlooking the Okavango Riverbank, providing breathtaking views of the calm, green Cubango (Okavango) River. This river is the biggest waterway and natural border between Namibia and Angola. It supports a rich environment filled with many types of birds, fish, hippos, and some of the largest crocodiles in the area.
Locals fondly call Kayova River Lodge the "shiwangundu" (pearl) of the Okavango. It's perfectly placed between Rundu and Divundu, making it an ideal spot for discovering the natural beauty of the Zambezi region.
Founded in 2012, Kayova River Lodge is fully owned by the local community, and all profits go directly to the Kavango community. The lodge was built to attract tourists to this beautiful area and hosts small business meetings and conferences in a peaceful, relaxing setting.
