7-Day Adventure Motorcycle Tour
Ride through seven days of ever-changing South African landscapes on a fully prepared KTM 790 Adventure. The route takes you from the rugged wilderness of the Baviaanskloof and the remote interior of the Great Karoo, across the spectacular Swartberg Pass, with an optional descent into Gamkaskloof, known as “Die Hel”, before continuing towards the ancient forests of the Garden Route and the dramatic Tsitsikamma coastline.
Each day is designed for experienced adventure riders, with approximately 5–7 hours in the saddle and around 70% of the route consisting of gravel roads and mountain tracks.
Expect varied terrain, changing scenery, and a true self-guided South African adventure motorcycle experience, with the KTM 790 Adventure providing the capability to tackle the diverse gravel and mountain routes along the way.

Leg: St Francis Bay → East Baviaanskloof Distance: ~163 km Gravel: 70% Night: Working farm, deep in the kloof
Day 2
Leg: The full Baviaanskloof traverse Distance: ~178 km Gravel: 100% Night: Willowmore, country guest house
Day 3
Leg: Willowmore → Prince Albert, via the deep Karoo Distance: ~225 km Gravel: 75% Night: Prince Albert
Day 4
Leg: Swartberg Pass → Calitzdorp (Die Hel optional) Distance: ~170 km Gravel: 60% Night: Calitzdorp
Day 5
Leg: Klein Karoo → Garden Route forests Distance: ~175 km Gravel: 55% Night: Forest lodge, Outeniqua
Day 6
Leg: Prince Alfred's Pass → Tsitsikamma Distance: ~250 km Gravel: 65% Night: Mountain country house
