The pods offer a fully equipped kitchen, quality linen, a cosy indoor fireplace, Wi-Fi and carefully considered amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The private outdoor space is designed for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Guests can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub, prepare meals on the outdoor braai or Weber barbecue, and make pizzas in the braai-top pizza oven. Important Information & Booking Terms:

To help protect the natural environment and ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for all guests, please take note of the following rules and important information before your arrival.

Conservation Area & Fire Safety

Renosterveld Eco Pods is situated within a highly sensitive, protected conservation area with an extreme fire risk. Guests are required to take extra care at all times.
Fires may only be made in the designated fire and braai areas. Fires elsewhere are strictly prohibited.
Never discard burning or smouldering objects, including cigarette butts, from vehicles, balconies or anywhere within the reserve.
All fires must be completely extinguished after use.
The collection of firewood, plant material or natural vegetation is strictly prohibited.
Please do not litter and ensure that all waste is disposed of responsibly.

Smoking & Pets

The accommodation units are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors only.
Cigarette butts must never be discarded into the veld or surrounding natural areas.
Due to the sensitive and threatened nature of the protected conservation area, pets of any kind are not permitted.

Noise & Visitors

Loud music is not permitted at any time.
Noise and music must cease completely after 22:00.
Day visitors are not permitted.
Right of admission is reserved, and the owners reserve the right to remove guests for unruly or inappropriate behaviour.

Activities & Equipment

Guests are welcome to bring their own mountain bikes, stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), fishing equipment and other non-motorised sporting equipment.
Motorised boats, quad bikes, motorbikes and similar vehicles are not permitted due to the sensitive nature of the conservation area.
Shooting is strictly prohibited, including the use of pellet guns, paintball guns, air guns and similar equipment.
Please remain on the designated roads, hiking trails, footpaths and boardwalks. Driving or accessing neighbouring private farmland is strictly prohibited.
All gates must be closed and secured after passing through to prevent animals from escaping.

Kayaks & River Safety

Kayaks are available for guest use. Please return them to the designated storage area after use.
Life jackets and oars must be returned to the pod after use.
The Breede River is tidal, so take care when launching or bringing kayaks ashore and be mindful of changing water levels and conditions.
Use of the kayaks, river and all other facilities is entirely at your own risk.

Wildlife & Natural Hazards

As the accommodation is situated within a protected conservation area, guests should be aware that the reserve is home to natural species including snakes, scorpions, spiders and ticks, some of which may be venomous.

Remain on designated footpaths, boardwalks and roads.
Take extra care when walking through natural areas and long grass.
Check yourself and children for ticks after hiking or walking, particularly after spending time in long grass.
Children must not be left unattended anywhere within the conservation area or at the river. Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adults at all times.

Cell Phone Signal & Wi-Fi

Cell phone reception is limited within the units and conservation area.
Wi-Fi is available within the accommodation units.

Water

Although the water supplied to the units is filtered, guests are advised to boil tap or river water before drinking to reduce the risk of illness or discomfort.

Drinking water is provided in the unit on arrival.

Unit Inspection & Damages

Please inspect your unit upon arrival and report any damaged, missing or non-functioning items to the owners as soon as possible.
Any damage to the accommodation, facilities, conservation area or neighbouring property will be charged to the guest under whose name the reservation was made.
Guests are responsible for taking reasonable care of the accommodation and surrounding environment during their stay.

Liability & Personal Safety

The owners accept no responsibility for loss, theft, injury or damage of any nature.
Use of the accommodation, facilities, conservation area, river and any equipment is entirely at your own risk.
Guests are expected to comply with all safety instructions and conservation requirements throughout their stay.

Booking & Payment

A 50% deposit of the total stay is required within 48 hours of making a reservation to secure the booking.
If proof of payment is not received within 48 hours, the reservation may be cancelled automatically.
The final balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.
If the final payment is not received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to re-sell the accommodation for those dates, with the deposit being forfeited.

Arrival Information

Directions to the property and farm, the entrance gate code and the unit key-box code will be sent via email and/or WhatsApp approximately 24 hours before arrival.
Arrival information and access codes will only be provided once full payment has been received and the required indemnity has been completed and returned.

Items Left Behind

Any personal belongings left behind after departure can be returned by courier at the guest's own cost.
