Verneukpan offers a true back-to-basics camping experience. There is no electricity, phone reception, running water, or ablution facilities, allowing guests to disconnect completely and experience the peace and solitude of the Karoo landscape. There are no designated campsites, so guests can choose their own secluded spot and enjoy the freedom of camping wherever they wish.

Located approximately 79 km from Kenhardt, Verneukpan is a remote destination where preparation is essential. Guests must arrive fully self-sufficient with enough drinking water, fuel, lighting, food, and camping equipment for the duration of their stay. It is recommended that vehicles are refuelled in Kenhardt before travelling to the camp.
